Does your teen need
They make hasty, poorly-considered decisions and need to have better judgment.
They’re being bullied at school – or they’re the one doing the bullying. They don’t get enough exercise or need to lose weight.
They have low self-esteem and seem to be down all the time. They give up when things get difficult and fail to meet their goals.
Raising a teenager requires persistence & patience
It can test your sanity even at the best of times. Yet, you want the best for your teenager. You want them to have the tools they need to succeed now and later in life – and you’d like that to happen without having to pull out all your hair in the process. Getting them to do anything you want them to do can feel utterly impossible, and you’re not sure where to start.
Studying martial arts helps kids learn how to overcome their problems and learn important lessons – the kind of lessons that will follow them to your home, to the classroom, and for the rest of their lives.
your teen will grow with every class!
Teenagers who study martial arts learn the benefits of self-control and discipline with every lesson. Our classes emphasize core values like discipline, respect, and persistence. Students learn that the way they treat others – in and out of the dojo – reflects on them as people and affects their ability to achieve their goals.
My two sons have attended the school for six months now and I have seen a drastic improvement in their confidence and focus levels. The instructors are great and bear a great positive impact. Kudos!
My son Justin has been a part of the Worthington Martial Arts Institute for well over 2 years. In those 2 years we have seen so many positive changes in him. He started when he was 5 years old (he is soon to be 8). Not only is he learning so much but he is helping others learn too. The fundemental things they learn in class are real life stuff. Not just the martial art aspects, i am not even talking about that. To respect one another, respect your parents, clean room clean me, and no martial arts outside of the dojo. Each month they go over another lesson. May it be about saving money. They are concerned about grades and what happens in their lives. They check up on the kids and get to know all the family members. (His grandparents are super involved). They are helping us raise a leader, someone who will teach others and respects his elders which is definitely something we wanted to teach him from the beginning.
This is an AMAZING Martial Arts Studio! Highly recommended. 5 stars
My son has gained so much confidence since he started at WMAI. He is always excited to go to class and learn new skills and techniques. He also really enjoys assisting with the beginners to help them to master their required skills.
